For the second year running Snickers has come on board as an official Download sponsor. Building on last year's success, acts on the Snickers Stage include Billy Idol, Motorhead, In Flames, Mastodon, My Chemical Romance and The Used. And thanks to Snickers Unsigned, the best up and coming amateur band will also get to play on the Snickers Stage alongside these world famous rock stars, as well as the chance to record their own single and video.
A brand-new kinked Snickers Bowl will also be unveiled for its first and only European appearance, hosting some of the world's leading lights in Skate and BMX including Mat Hoffman and Steve Caballero. Special limited edition Snickers wrappers are also being designed by the public to celebrate the launch of Download.

It's official. Napster is the UK's Best Digital Music Service according to both Music Week and Broadband Advisor, and this year the cat with the most tracks is sponsoring the third stage at the Download Festival.

It went down a storm last year and now its back, offering the ultimate, alternative festival experience - the After Shock Arena. With all its eccentricities, and conceived in the spirit of music festival craziness, the After Shock Arena is strictly for grown ups and once through the door it's fun and games all the way!
Crowds are primed early, to take part in a whole range of games and indulgences throughout the day, combat games, water fights and even Toilet Racing! Old After Shock favourites back again include the Beyonce Castle where you can Bounce about on Beyonce's most famous asset, and After Shock Podium dancing, by the After Shock professionals and goggle-eyed festival-goers alike.
All the talk of the summer last year was the After Shock Hot Tubs - Hot Tubs on a festival site I hear you ask? Well they had them in the After Shock Arena and they are back again this year, with towels and swimsuits provided!
New for 2005, the After Shock Circus performers will be on site creating a spectacle which has to be seen to be believed. Latest rumours include Kamelyan, who becomes a human harp in front of your eyes with the help of a few body piercing techniques, and what's more you can play her! All this and more from such limelight-relishing characters.

Nintendo will be joining us at Download this year, hosting its own dedicated Nintendo DS tent. The tent will offer festival goers the chance to take a break from the music, play the latest and hottest Nintendo DS games, and get on stage to challenge other people with their best jokes in a comedy talent search.

Medal of Honor to Assault Download
EA will be bringing a truck load of games to Download this year, literally!
The WWII truck will be full of PlayStation®2 and Xbox consoles so you can
step inside and charge your way through one of the missions from Medal of
Honor European Assault(tm).
It's 1942 and these are desperate hours for Allied forces as the Nazi war
machine rages across a devastated Europe. You'll be fighting right in the
thick of it as a field agent of the top secret OSS fighting in real WWII
battles. Your choices will make all the difference as you navigate an open
battlefield and cross paths with the most dangerous Nazi leaders, armed to
the teeth and gunning for you. Aside from the brilliant story penned by a
Hollywood screenwriter there are 16 unique multiplayer maps for you to
battle mates in.
European Assault will be storming into shops on the 17th of June so make
sure you head to the EA WWII truck to try it early before anyone else.
